Tumor-Associated Macrophage Targeting Drug Selected for KDDF Project
2022.11.11
- AimedBio’s tumor-associated macrophage (TAM)-targeting therapeutic candidate P018 has been selected for the Korean Drug Development Fund (KDDF) “New Drug Platform Expansion Research” program, receiving funding over the next two years to support lead optimization research.
- P018 is an antibody-based immunotherapy targeting the tumor microenvironment (TME). It works by eliminating tumor-associated macrophages, thereby activating immune cells such as T cells and NK cells.
- AimedBio expects that combination therapy using P018 and immune checkpoint inhibitors could address significant unmet medical needs in solid tumors such as brain cancer and lung cancer.
